On June 16, 2020, SNF Holding Company donated a Shimadzu AA-7000F Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer to the Chemistry Department at Georgia Southern University – Armstrong Campus, in Savannah, GA.

Atomic absorption spectrophotometry analyzes the concentration of elements in a liquid sample based on energy absorbed from certain wavelengths of light.  This instrument will be used as a teaching tool for undergraduate chemistry majors and for measuring several analytes in graduate level research.
